Property Management
The Property Management Office supports the Director of Materials Management and Logistics with maintaining appropriate Property Control, described in UPPS No. 05.01.01, as follows:
The Director of Materials Management & Logistics maintains records of the property inventory of each Department Head, adds new items, augments assets as necessary, and removes deleted and transferred items. Materials Management & Logistics has implemented RFID technology and automated processes. Using barcode scanners and RFID sled readers, we document that inventory tags have been read, and, therefore, verify that assets have been inventoried. This Inventory methodology is called the “Electronic Verification of Equipment” or (E.V.E.).
Areas of Responsibility:
- E.V.E. Inventory Section
